Big Wheels Keep On Turnin'

I'm full! The October 30th all-day shoot spots are officially booked up. Thanks everyone... I look forward to a fun-filled fall day with you and your families! I'm thinking Halloween candy to bribe those kiddos to smile..... hmm. If you are booked, I will be sending out an email to you the week before with last minute details.

I originally posted that I'll also be having an all-day shoot on Nov. 14th, but that has now been cancelled. I am now going on a mission trip to Haiti and leave that day. I'm excited! You'll be seeing lots of photos from that trip in the future...

I met with two fabulous people tonight who are building my website and designing everything for me. Holy cow... so excited to launch it (finally) in the coming months... and even more excited that I hired someone to do it instead of continuing to try and do it all by myself (we see where that got me). Yay! I will keep you posted.

Hey I'm going to flip flop the dates on you for the all-day shoots. Here are the new locations for each date:

Sunday, Nov. 14th - Nashville, TN/Franklin, TN

Just wanted to send an update and let you know that I am officially booked solid through the end of October. Hello friends! I am trying to stay above water with all the great shoots I've had lately and all the editing that goes along with that. Thanks for your patience if you're still waiting on your photos. I've been working like a maniac this week, so I'm making progress. In the past couple of weeks I've traveled to Denver and Charleston for photo shoots - it has been busy to say the least! Here are a few photos from my dear friend Caroline's engagement shoot. She and Jonathan are getting married one month from today and I can't wait! More of these gorgeous people to come.....

I wanted to let you know that I'm looking towards the fall and booking up quickly. September is almost completely full (unless you are one of my 3 month/6 month/9 month, 12 month etc. babies and we still need to get you on my schedule - I've left room for you), and October is already starting to fill up. So. If you are interested in booking a photo shoot with me for fall photos... (think Christmas cards) then let me know. I am booking two mini-shoot days this fall, so here you go:

Saturday, Oct. 30th - Franklin, TN

Sunday, Nov. 14th - Hendersonville, TN

Here is how it will work: I will schedule shoots every hour, on the hour, from 8am until 5pm on Saturday, and 12pm until 4pm on Sunday. I will set up in one location, and you'll meet me there - a park, a field, etc. Locations still TBD. We will shoot for 45 minutes, and that time is up to you. Family photos, kid photos, individual shots, a mixture of all 3... outfit changes, etc. It's your shoot, so plan ahead for Christmas card photos and Christmas gifts. What grandparents wouldn't love photos of their grandkids for Christmas? Sure beats the heck out of that same tie you get grandpa every year. Think outside the box. Framed photos = fabulous gifts.

Ok WOW. I was extremely blessed with the opportunity to shoot this guy's promo/website/you name it shots for his launch into stardom. This is Mitchell McGhee... a fantastic Christian music singer/worship leader. This was his first official photo shoot and man, did he ROCK IT! Here are a mere few of my favorites. There were so many. It was flurrying the day we did this... bless him for being so patient with me and bearing the freezing cold for this. Rockstar! I'm excited to see where his career takes him. Enjoy.

The Nashville Snowstorm of 2010 has been phenomenal. There's just something about being snowed in. The excuse to do nothing, lay around and have no where to be. I needed this weekend. Did you? Aside from watching a few movies, doing some necessary cleaning and sleeping a lot, I got a lot of photo editing done. Yahoooooo! And I'm updating my blog as well. Here are some photos I did back in December... this is my boss, Deana, and her sweet family. I think little Ben was born to be a model! Thanks guys! This shoot was a ton of fun... Baby, I'm Back

I'm back! FINALLY! To all my faithful blog readers out there, those who have been checking everyday hoping for some new photos (and those who are actually calling me out on not posting new photos... awesome by the way!), I'm finally back. I can hardly explain my life and how busy it was for all of October, November and December. This two full time job thing can get hectic!! I did tons of shoots, but haven't posted in awhile. Forgive me. So I should have some good material to get me through the slower months of winter :)

To my friends Andrea and Derrick... gosh, I love y'all. They are expecting, so I was excited to see Andrea's new baby bump... only... she looks tiny (as always) in these photos! I swear the bump was there in person! I told her we may have to do another shoot around the 7 or 8 month mark. And I'm trying to convince Derrick to let me come to the hospital and take the first photos of sweet Weston. He'll thank me later if he caves. But these photos were great for Christmas cards. Enjoy!

This photo shoot was one of those dear-to-my-heart ones. The three kids below belong to my oldest/longest friend, Courtney. She and I met when I was 5.... and we've been friends ever since. So these kiddos are beyond special to me. I just adore them. Courtney is pregnant with #4 (I have some SERIOUS catching up to do...) and I can't wait to meet the new little one. The teenage beauty in some of these photos is their cousin, Kaitlin. Grandma hired me to take pics of all the kids. What a BLAST this shoot was! Courtney... you are a true BFF. Love you, friend!!

Reunited and It Feels So Good

Ok, ok. So it's been awhile. A loooooong while. What's been going on, you ask? Well, for starters, my Mac crashed. That's right. Macs don't crash! So for awhile I had nothing to work with. I've been shooting like crazy lately, getting caught up with editing, and well..... time slipped away. But I'm back! I'll be posting quite the montage to catch you all up. Holy moly... there are a lot of photos I loved from this photo shoot. I couldn't choose just a few to post. This shoot was in my hometown of Hendersonville. I love the barn. I love all the green. I love the bright colors they wore. I love this sweet family... and capturing them laughing their hearts out. I love the two little blonde supermodels I got to work with. And I love that one of them LOVED to pose in front of my camera. I told him he was ready for his senior pictures... only 15 more years to go. I'll be honest, it hurts me a little to have to move Kris Allen down a bit on the page with a new post. What.

Here are some maternity photos I did a couple of weekends ago. First preggo shots I've done... I am happy with how they turned out! This is my friend Naomi and her husband, Charles. Naomi and I grew up in church together and taught 7th grade girls bible study together a few years ago. After that experience, I know she will handle motherhood like a CHAMP. I'm not sure I can even BEGIN to describe the excitement that burst out of me last night at the end of the American Idol finale. Seriously. I screamed like a 12-year-old girl. And I'm not ashamed to admit it. I'm also not ashamed to say that I voted for Kris about 147 times, and I'm somewhat convinced that MY votes made a difference. What. But.... I think my excitement may best be displayed in a photo montage.....

So this past weekend, I got to take photos of my little cousin, Carley, and her boyfriend, Ethan..... Prom! Prom poses! Yessssssss! By the looks of the first few photos below... why, yes... yes I did feel like I was living an episode of Friday Night Lights. But I'm telling you... I am LOVING the tractor shots. Now, if she'd only worn cowboy boots with her prom dress...... dang it, why didn't we think of that!

I'm obsessed with Kris Allen on this season of American Idol. It's true. Downright obsessed. He made it to the Top 3 tonight, and my roommates and I literally screamed as if he had just won the whole thing. I'm ready for Rocker Adam to take his over-the-top Axl Rose scream and hit. the. road. Yeah, that's right. You just read that. Am I the only person in America who can't stand Adam and his screaming? And if you claim to love him, do you think you would still love him if you didn't watch him and just listened to him sing? Try it. I think you'll change your mind.
